Job description

As a Systems Administrator Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operation of systems used across Estates Services. You will help ensure systems are accurate, well maintained, and effectively support operational activities, acting as a first point of contact for users and queries. You will assist with system configuration, data quality, reporting, and documentation, working alongside experienced colleagues to support improvements and system enhancements. A key part of the role is helping to produce routine and ad-hoc reports that support planning, monitoring, and decision-making. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop experience in systems administration and service support within a collaborative environment, supporting a wide range of colleagues across the University.

Requirements

  • A Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent practical experience.
  • Competent skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and working with data.
  • Clear communication skills and a helpful, service-focused approach.
  • Good organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks independently while working as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn and work with multiple systems to support day-to-day operations.
