Job description
As a data engineer at Valid, you know better than anyone how to convert customer data into useful information. Our clients are mainly found in industry, business services, housing cooperatives and real estate. In this role you are responsible for the development and maintenance of data platforms at our clients. Do you have experience setting up data platforms that manage and secure the flow of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources? Then this position is right up your alley., * The design and architecture of data platforms to suit the specific needs and environment of the customer;
- Setting up Azure cloud infrastructures on which those data platforms will run;
- Retrieve, transform, validate and cleanse data to meet functional and non-functional business requirements;
- Participate in and develop data marts with business rules and reporting solutions;
- Develop a reusable, maintainable and scalable solution to data issues.
With our team, we build BI solutions and design and build complete data platforms. We do this for various clients so that they get optimal insight into their data. For this we use techniques such as Fabric, Synapse, Databricks, Data Factory and Power BI. The projects you work on are always based on (the latest) Microsoft technologies. We attach great value to technological development and always keep up with the latest techniques and methods.
Requirements
- You have a minimum of 5 years working experience as a data engineer;
- You have a completed college or university education;
- You are fluent in SQL;
- You have experience with the Microsoft Azure Data stack;
- Experience with one or more of the following is a plus: Data Factory, Fabric, Synapse, SSIS/SSAS/SSRS, Power BI, Databricks, Snowflake, DBT, Python;
- You have experience with (relational) databases, data modeling, data visualization, data warehouses, metadata and ETL;
- You are familiar with (the basics of) data management and data governance;
- You are helpful, collegial, customer-oriented, actively engaged in your own development and have strong opinions about your field.

- A gross monthly salary between €4,000 and €6,000, depending on your knowledge and experience;
