Job description
Bridging the gap between technical complexity and the end-user experience, you will work directly with senior leadership to enable our group to achieve its most ambitious goals. Working in close collaboration with the IT Operations and Security Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that our software stack is fully utilised and fit for purpose, identifying ways to make our digital workflows simpler and more efficient for everyone. With a solid foundation in Microsoft 365, patch management, and modern service desk environments, you will be the lead advocate for both technical excellence and user empowerment.
As our IT Manager, you will be responsible for: -
- Setting and executing the daily priorities of the IT Department.
- Managing and optimising IT systems, implementing new solutions, and driving system improvements.
- Liaising with third-party providers for ongoing support and development.
- Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and introducing preventive measures.
- Collaborating with different departments to identify and resolve inefficiencies using technology.
- Overseeing system administration and upgrades and ensuring software security and compliance.
- Providing technical support and training and acting as the subject-matter expert for key platforms.
Requirements
If you possess a combination of some of the following skills, then LETS TALK!
- Microsoft 365 and Active Directory experience.
- Microsoft Windows and Server experience.
- Patch Management experience.
- Experience working with ticketing systems to drive system improvements.
- Previous experience liaising with 3rd party vendors or clients to enhance IT functions.
- Strong understanding of business workflows and leveraging technology to drive improvements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Experience in team leadership and delivering end-user training.
- Experience with Perimeter Security is desirable but not essential.
- A good understanding of ITIL is desirable but not essential.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is desirable but not essential.
