Job description

Your mission will be to contribute to the whole development process, from system design to delivery and monitoring. HR Suite Team - Scope

  • Document management and generation: From AI-powered template generation to document lifecycle management, it allows users to manage their files seamlessly and remains compliant. It handles over 50 million documents and is a critical service to PayFit, requiring a strong SLO.
  • Performance & Engagement: delivers a large panel of services for talent management, such as 1:1s, Performance reviews, Peer Feedback, and more. It's one of the premium services of PayFit, offering a deep experience in product development.
  • Org Chart: right in the middle of multiple experiences of Payfit, such as permissions, employee management, time & absence requests, … It pushes us to calibrate the full Payfit experience while coordinating multiple experiences with product and architecture challenges.

Your future team

An HR Suite team of 6 Software Engineers with an Engineering Manager leading the team, a Product Manager, and a Product Designer working on their missions together.

Your future manager, Yannick, has extensive experience in leading the development of complex technical projects and will help you evolve in your role! Interview process

  • Initial Discovery Call: A Talent Acquisition representative will assess your qualifications and fit for the role - 30 min.
  • Interview with an Engineering Manager: You will have a conversation with your future manager to further discuss your experience and skills - 45 min.
  • Technical Interview that comprises of 2 parts: 1) Live coding Interview - 90 min; 2) System design Interview - 60 min.
  • Interviews with your Team: You will meet with the rest of the team members (a Product Manager and a Product Designer) to get to know them and further assess your fit within the organization - 30-45 min.
  • Interview with the Engineering Director of the Tribe: Discuss your understanding of our role and challenges and your potential impact on it - 30 min.

Requirements

  • You are an Engineer with 5+ years of experience.
  • You have hands-on experience with Domain-Driven design and Event-Driven Architecture. You are able to help the team transition towards the new architectural vision. You like to seek opportunities and build strategies.
  • You are comfortable with AWS services, like Lambda, SQS, SNS, IAM.
  • You are comfortable with Infrastructure as Code and deploying different kinds of projects.
  • You can write RFCs, discuss them, and reach conclusions.
  • You are a problem solver: pragmatic and product-driven, interested in solving problems and delivering value while taking into account business-tech tradeoffs.
  • You are a team player: good communication skills, comfortable working in a partially remote team, and can easily work with non-technical colleagues.
  • Using best practices and standards: organized, rigorous engineer who follows best practices regarding code quality, clean architecture, testing, monitoring, code reviews, and CI/CD. You use AI to accelerate and expand your impact.
  • You are fluent in English.
