Job description

ISGlobal is seeking a technician for supporting the Project Unit in developing and implementing the Artificial Intelligence and Open Science policies in the framework of the ImpactEUROPE project.

The overall project goals related to this position are exploring the opportunities offered by AI tools, as well as identifying challenges in their implementation and internal training needs, and integrating the different elements of Open Science into the institution in order to develop a holistic policy.

The Projects Unit supports the ISGlobal community in the development and implementation of institutional and scientific policies. Its work includes identifying and disseminating funding opportunities, advising on the requirements of funding agencies, and providing support in the promotion, preparation and management of proposals.

This position will be supported by ImpactEUROPE Project (GPE2025-001646-P) from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, and the Spanish Research State Agency (MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033)., Contribute to the development and implementation of the AI and Open Sciences policies: -Develop procedures for the use of AI tools at ISGlobal in line with the institutional AI policy and other relevant AI policies and guidelines in the European context. -Extract information from the internal database of submitted proposals and their related evaluations (Evaluation Summary Reports) and use this information to automatically review draft proposals in preparation using AI tools. -Explore the catalogue of AI tools in the field of research management, both in the preparation of proposals and in project management, to identify the most relevant ones and train the different teams in their use. -Benchmarking of institutional Open Science policies and review of the international and national Open Science guidelines and policies. -Support the development of the institutional policy on Open Science in line with the National Open Science Strategy (ENCA) and the Catalan Strategy on Open Science. -Support the ISGlobal CoARA Working Group on how to assess open science practices in the evaluation of ISGlobal researchers. -Coordinate with the internal training team to prepare a training programme on AI tools and Open Science topics., The interviews could be placed during the reception of candidatures period.

SELECTION PROCESS The selection process is designed in two phases: 1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV. 2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.

If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.

In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. A profile questionnaire as well as a technical exercise may be required during the process.

Requirements

Information management, Degree, preferably in health sciences. Others could be also considered -1-2 years of experience will be an asset.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS -Although not essential, it will be highly valued having: -Knowledge and interest in AI tools (GenAI) applied to administrative or scientific productivity. -Knowledge and interest in Open Science principles and policies, including open data (lifecycle of data, FAIR framework)

LANGUAGE LEVEL -Good level of English (B2 above) -Excellent fluency in written and spoken Spanish and Catalan.
