Job description
As an Infrastructure & Cloud Consultant, you'll design and deliver modern Microsoft-based solutions that help our customers get the best from their technology. You'll work across Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and core networking/security platforms whilst guiding organisations through migrations, improvements, and cloud adoption using our proven delivery frameworks. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll lead projects end-to-end, collaborate closely with clients and internal teams, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our services and best practices.
What You'll Work On Solution Design & Delivery

Deliver Azure and Microsoft 365 projects using our established baselines and technical best practices.

Build and configure environments across Azure IaaS, hybrid identity (Entra ID), Intune, Windows Server, networking, and security tooling.

Produce high-quality documentation, designs, and handover material. Client Engagement & Adoption

Understand customer requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.

Provide guidance, training, and support during and after implementation.

Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Quality Assurance & Handover

Lead smooth transitions from project delivery into Service Delivery.

Carry out post-implementation reviews and ensure all quality criteria are met.

Identify opportunities to improve future delivery and service offerings. Contributing to Our Technical Direction

Provide insight from the field to help refine and evolve our implementation frameworks.

Share knowledge with the wider team and support junior colleagues.

Champion process improvements and efficiency gains across Professional Services.
Typical Projects You'll be hands-on with work such as:
- Migrating servers, applications, and identities into Azure
- Designing hybrid identity solutions with Entra ID
- Intune and Autopilot rollouts
- Microsoft 365 security and compliance projects
- Windows Server upgrades and AD modernisation
- Network redesigns (VPN, multi-site, firewall integration)
- Backup & DR (Azure Backup, ASR)
- Projects typically run 10-25 days across 50-100 user environments.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver multiple concurrent technical projects to time and quality standards.
- Work closely with IT Project Managers to plan resources and track progress.
- Provide regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Push back constructively on unrealistic demands, offering achievable alternatives.
- Create and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation.
- Present technical updates confidently to a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders.
- Support onboarding and mentoring of junior members of the team.
- Maintain high performance against KPIs such as Quality Score and Customer Feedback (target: 90%+).

Qualifications & Certifications We're looking for candidates with a mix of formal qualifications and hands-on experience. Ideal certifications include:
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102)
- CompTIA A+ and Network+
- Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or SC-300
- Hornet VM & 365 Backup Training
- 4GON Ubiquiti Wireless Administrator
- WatchGuard Firewall Implementation Course
Requirements
-
2+ years in IT consultancy or technical delivery roles, ideally in cloud or infrastructure.

Proven track record of successful solution delivery.

Strong project scoping, resource management, and communication skills.
