Within Technology Services, our five dynamic work units: Data, Architecture & Integration; Cyber Resilience; Digital Delivery & Innovation; Technology Platforms; and Operations & Services - collaborate to deliver cutting-edge solutions and high-impact projects across the University.
As our valued Technical Support Officer within Technology Services you will sit in the Strategy & Technology team.
You will make an impact by:
- Deliver efficient frontline technical support by resolving common IT issues for staff and students across university systems and devices.
- Ensure smooth operation of technology platforms and equipment, including desktops, mobile devices, classroom AV, and collaboration tools.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation, contributing to continuous improvement of knowledge bases and support processes.
- Uphold security and service standards by following established procedures, escalating complex issues appropriately, and providing clear user guidance and training.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Research?, The person will bring solid technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service, clear communication, and attention to detail to effectively support university technology systems and users., * Associate Diploma level qualification in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong technical knowledge of operating systems, Microsoft Office, and basic networking to effectively troubleshoot common IT issues.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to provide clear, patient support to diverse users and explain technical concepts simply.
- Attention to detail and procedural compliance to ensure accurate documentation, security, and consistent service delivery., Eligible applicants must have Australian or New Zealand citizenship, Australian permanent residency or current working rights in Australia for the entire duration of the appointment. Employer visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Benefits & conditions
- Full-time, continuing (permanent)
- Located at Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450.
- HEW Level 4. The base salary ranges from $75,500 - $81,079 per annum (full time equivalent), plus 17% employer's contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $94,862 per annum
