Job description
As a Data Platform & Integration Specialist, you own the design and continuous evolution of analytics-ready data models that support key business domains. You ensure the organization's data platform delivers reliable, compliant, and high-quality data while enabling consistent metrics, actionable insights, and informed decision-making across the business.
You translate strategic and growth initiatives into scalable data products by building and maintaining robust integrations, data models, and reporting foundations. Working hands-on within the data platform, you ensure data is accessible, accurate, and fit for both operational and analytical use.
In close partnership with business stakeholders and IT colleagues, you clarify analytical questions, challenge assumptions where needed, and ensure insights are practical, relevant, and embedded into business processes-supporting continuous improvement and sustainable business growth. Your tasks
- Own the design and evolution of analytics-ready data models supporting domains such as Sales, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain.
- Translate strategic and growth initiatives into scalable data products that enable consistent metrics, transparent performance tracking, and effective decision-making.
- Partner proactively with business stakeholders to clarify analytical needs, challenge assumptions, and ensure insights are actionable.
- Design, build, and maintain the organization's data warehouse, analytics models, and reporting environment, ensuring performance, stability, scalability, and usability.
- Translate reporting and analytics requirements into robust data models, pipelines, and dashboards using modern analytics tooling (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Power BI).
- Contribute to the continuous evolution of the analytics platform by applying best practices in data modeling, reusability, and performance optimization.
- Implement and maintain integrations between core business systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, QMS, MES) in line with established architectural and security standards.
- Monitor and continuously improve data quality, consistency, and availability in collaboration with business data owners.
- Troubleshoot data and integration issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable, well-documented solutions.
- Apply and promote data governance standards, including naming conventions, documentation practices, and master data processes.
- Ensure data handling complies with internal privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to system validation and documentation activities within regulated environments.
- Support IT and business projects by delivering data-related components aligned with architecture standards.
- Collaborate with external vendors on solution delivery, upgrades, and knowledge transfer.
- Maintain clear and structured documentation of data flows, interfaces, and technical configurations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5-8 years of experience in data engineering, system integration, or data management roles.
- Hands-on experience with data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL/ELT development.
- Experience designing and operating modern analytics platforms using Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse architectures, semantic models, and Power BI.
- Experience with enterprise reporting solutions (e.g., Jet Reports) and self-service BI tools.
- Experience integrating ERP systems and other enterprise applications using APIs, middleware, or iPaaS solutions.
- Practical knowledge of data quality management, master data concepts, and structured data governance.
- Ability to translate business and analytical requirements into robust data models and scalable data products.
- Experience working in regulated environments and supporting validation or compliance documentation is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within defined architectural frameworks.
- Effective communicator who collaborates well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is preferred., You are a pragmatic and detail-oriented data professional who enjoys turning complexity into structured, scalable solutions.
