Job description
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on IT Lead to take full ownership of day-to-day IT operations across our factory and office site in Wallasey. This is a pivotal role within the organisation, responsible for ensuring systems, infrastructure, and users are supported effectively, securely, and with minimal disruption to business operations.
As the primary point of contact for all IT matters, you will provide both first line and escalated support, working closely with colleagues across the factory floor and office environment. Alongside resolving technical issues efficiently, you will play a key role in strengthening cybersecurity, improving user capability, and driving continuous improvements to IT processes and performance across the site., * Oversee and manage all day-to-day IT operations across the factory and office sites.
- Provide first-line support and act as an escalation point for IT issues, ensuring timely troubleshooting and resolution.
- Lead technical escalations, liaising with external service providers where necessary.
- Deliver hands-on technical support, including PC builds, system resets, routine maintenance, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Support new starters with IT onboarding, including equipment setup, system access configuration, and user guidance.
- Enhance workforce capability by delivering training on IT systems and software, including SharePoint.
- Ensure cybersecurity measures are effectively implemented, maintained, and monitored.
- Promote cybersecurity awareness by training users on best practices and compliance standards.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across both factory and office environments, providing practical and accessible IT support.
- Maintain accurate IT documentation, procedures, and asset management records.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SharePoint?, * Demonstrable experience in a hands-on IT support or IT leadership role.
- Strong troubleshooting ability, with a calm and methodical approach to resolving issues efficiently.
- Comfortable operating within both factory and office-based environments.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft systems, hardware, and collaboration tools, including SharePoint.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and user awareness best practices.
- Confident communicator, capable of supporting users with varying levels of technical proficiency.
- Well-organised, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
