DevOps Backup & Restore Engineer D-008

• Aufbau, Betrieb und Weiterentwicklung der Backup- und Restore-Infrastruktur des DZA
• Sicherstellung der Datenintegrität, Systemverfügbarkeit und Disaster-Recovery-Fähigkeit (Business Continuity Management)
• Automatisierung und Überwachung von Backup-Prozessen sowie Implementierung von Monitoring- und Reporting-Lösungen
• Integration von Backup-Lösungen in virtualisierte Umgebungen (Snapshot-, Image- und File-Level-Backups)
• Zusammenarbeit mit internen Fachbereichen, der TU Dresden (HPC-Umfeld) und externen Projektpartnern
• Unterstützung bei der Planung und Umsetzung von Sicherheits- und Compliance-Maßnahmen (BSI IT-Grundschutz, DSGVO)
• Entwicklung und Dokumentation von Betriebs-, Recovery- und Notfallprozessen
• Beitrag zur Gestaltung und Optimierung einer skalierbaren DevOps-Infrastruktur für zukünftige Forschungsprojekte

• Abgeschlossenes wissenschaftliches Hochschulstudium im Bereich Informatik oder einem verwandten naturwissenschaftlich-technischen Fachgebiet
• Mehrjährige Erfahrung im Backup- und Restore-Umfeld, idealerweise im HPC- oder Großdatenkontext
• Kenntnisse in HPC-Architekturen (z. B. Batch-Job-Systeme wie Slurm, PBS Pro, LSF) sowie in parallelen Dateisystemen
• Erfahrung im High-Performance-Computing (HPC), insbesondere mit verteilten Dateisystemen (z. B. CephFS, Lustre) wünschenswert
• Sicherer Umgang mit Unix/Linux-Systemen, Shell-Scripting, Automatisierung (cron-jobs, Skripting)
• Grundkenntnisse zu Netzwerkprotokollen sowie Erfahrung im Aufbau und Betrieb von Backup-Infrastrukturen im Virtualisierungsumfeld
• Erfahrung im Aufbau von DevOps- oder Cloud-Infrastrukturen von Vorteil
• Verständnis von IT-Security und Compliance (Datenintegrität, Verschlüsselung, DSGVO, BSI IT-Grundschutz, Disaster Recovery)
• Interesse an Radioastronomie und der Verarbeitung extrem großer Datenmengen ("Exabytes and beyond")
• Proaktive, lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise und Teamfähigkeit
• Gute Englisch- und Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
