DevOps Infrastructure Engineer D-006

• Aufbau, Betrieb und Weiterentwicklung der IT-Infrastruktur (Virtualisierung, Containerisierung, Automatisierung)
• Einrichtung und Verwaltung von virtuellen Maschinen (VMs) sowie Kubernetes-Clustern und deren Service-Konfigurationen
• Automatisierung von Deployments und Infrastrukturprozessen (z. B. via Helm, GitOps, CI/CD-Pipelines)
• Administration und Überwachung von Services mit Prometheus, Grafana und vergleichbaren Tools
• Unterstützung bei der Integration neuer Softwarekomponenten in den produktiven Betrieb
• Zusammenarbeit mit internen Fachbereichen, der TU Dresden (HPC-Umgebung) und externen Projektpartnern
• Sicherstellung von Performance, Skalierbarkeit, Ausfallsicherheit und IT-Security
• Dokumentation und Optimierung bestehender Prozesse im Sinne von DevOps-Prinzipien

• Abgeschlossenes wissenschaftliches Hochschulstudium im Bereich Informatik oder ein verwandtes naturwissenschaftlich-technisches Fachgebiet
• Fundiertes Verständnis für Softwareentwicklung und die daraus resultierenden Anforderungen an den Betrieb
• Mehrjährige praktische Erfahrung im Aufbau und Betrieb von virtuellen Maschinen oder Kubernetes-Clustern, inklusive Service-Konfiguration und Deployment
• Sicherer Umgang mit Tools wie kubeadm, kubelet, etcd, Helm, Nginx, HAProxy etc.
• Versierter Umgang mit Unix/Linux-Systemen, Shell-Scripting, cron-jobs und Automatisierung von Abläufen
• Erfahrung mit CI/CD-Pipelines und GitOps-Methoden
• Langjährige Praxis im Einsatz von Prometheus und Grafana für Monitoring und Systemanalyse
• Erfahrung im High-Performance-Computing (HPC)-Umfeld, insbesondere mit verteilten Dateisystemen (z. B. CephFS, Lustre) oder Job-Scheduling-Systemen (z. B. Slurm) wünschenswert
• Begeisterung für Radioastronomie und den Umgang mit extrem großen Datenmengen ("Exabytes and beyond")
• Kenntnisse in Cloud-Technologien und Infrastructure-as-Code (z. B. Terraform, Ansible) von Vorteil
• Gute Englisch- und Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
