Job description

As Area Lead Back-end & Creator Foundation, you are responsible for shaping and executing the strategy that elevates Rabobank's backend engineering foundation and Creator experience to the next level. Together with your team, you ensure that hundreds of teams across all product tribes in CPO and Retail NL Tech accelerate in their delivery of high quality user-experiences with great time-to-market and low maintenance. You lead an area of ~60 professionals with six direct reports and serve as a key member of the Tribe Digital Platform leadership team., * Drive wide and deep adoption of backend standards across tribes and domains.

  • Expand standardized backend capabilities to reduce complexity and tech maintenance across all CPO squads.
  • Ensure developer success by fast providing reliable, controlled and secure building blocks.
  • Develop high performing teams with a clear focus on outcomes and delivery.
  • Managing stakeholder relationships across CPO, IT, Architecture and CRO.

Requirements

Do you have a Master's degree?, Your leadership directly enables thousands of engineers and influences the digital experience of millions of customers. You empower the Area to deliver Rabobank's backend engineering foundation through the Rabo Online Platform (ROP) - a platform of reusable services and components that enables more than 150 front-end and 200+ back-end squads to build and deploy digital solutions quickly, consistently, and securely. Platforms such as Cerebro and Cloud Foundry deliver the reusable back-end building blocks and secure pipelines that drive productivity, reliability, and continuity at scale. We're looking for someone who can confidently lead our ROP 'shop'. You have a solid understanding of our technical landscape and delivery process (incl. pipelines, YAPL and Cerebro) and can translate this to the needs of developers, marketers and PO's. You bring strong organizational sensitivity and stakeholder management skills to effectively align and steer Area Triangles across different Tribes., * Experience with Agile leadership and high performing teams -performing teams;

  • Strong communication skills and organizational sensitivity;
  • Ability to drive strategic change in a complex stakeholder field;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to execute with impact;
  • Proven technical understanding of backend engineering platforms and capabilities;
  • Affinity with Developer Experience and/or producer role is a plus;
  • Experience with compliance, risk, and security requirements;
  • Data-driven mindset and digital literacy;
  • Academic education / Master's level;
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

  • Salary: Gross monthly salary between EUR 10,127 and EUR 14,467 (senior kader A).
