Job description
We are looking to recruit a Network Operations Manager. You will play a critical part in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and optimise sales performance across the organisation. You will work closely with IT and the Commercial Team to implement our data strategy, understanding the key data sources from across the business and how this needs to be transformed to deliver against the broader organisations reporting and analysis requirements. Coming from a data science background (Data Science / Analytics degree preferable), you will apply your programming skills to create and improve our data pipelines and ensure that data is accurate and consistent. As well as improving our BAU reporting and analysis, you will support adhoc requests and help to trouble shoot any data issues that may impact the business. You will also help with structuring any new reporting requirements that may be requested through the development of new data pipelines and reports.
If you are looking to make a difference, thrive in a growing business and share our ambition, we would love to hear from you!, * Network Monitoring and Management: Oversee the day-to-day operation of the network, including monitoring network performance, uptime, and reliability.
- Fault Management: Manage network faults and outages by coordinating the technical teams effecting repairs. Proactively implement preventative measures to minimize downtime.
- Capacity Planning: Assess current network capacity and plan for future growth and expansion. Ensure robust capacity monitoring tools and procedures are in place. Liaise with network build, customer planning and network engineering functions to ensure capacity is in place for planned growth.
- Configuration Management: Manage the implementation of changes to network devices, protocols, and settings recommended by the network engineering function.
- Vendor Management: Monitor vendor performance ensuring they meet service level agreements (SLAs). Carry out periodic operational performance reviews with all key vendors.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain plans and procedures to recover from network failures and other environmental or geographic disruptions. Ensure device configurations are backed up and stored in an accessible way.
- Compliance and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the network complies with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices. As necessary, maintain documentation, conduct audits, and implement controls to address compliance requirements related to data privacy, network security, and service quality.
- Reporting and Documentation: Generate reports on network performance, incidents and resolutions, availability, and security metrics for toob Ltd's senior management team and stakeholders
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead a team of network operation technicians, providing guidance, mentoring, and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to effectively operate the network. Perform staffing, scheduling, and performance management activities.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Telecommunication?, * A deep understanding of telecommunications networks, specifically as related to consumer broadband services, including their architecture, protocols, technologies, and equipment.
- A broad knowledge and experience of network monitoring and management tools.
- Demonstrate through experience strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with network equipment vendors and service providers including conducting vendor performance reviews and ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Demonstrable experience assessing network capacity requirements, forecasting demand, and planning for scalability and growth.
- Knowledge of relevant telecommunications regulations, standards, and compliance requirements, including data privacy laws, network security regulations, and industry best practices.
- Must display strong documentation skills in maintaining accurate records of network configurations, incidents, changes, and resolutions.
- Display strong leadership skills to lead and motivate a team of network technicians including providing guidance, mentoring, and training to develop team members' skills and capabilities.
- Strong delivery management skills to plan, execute, and oversee network projects such as upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
- Excellent ability for clear and concise oral and written communication; ability to interface at multiple levels and successfully present technical information.
- Ability to work well with other organizations and disciplines.
- Have the right to work in the UK without restriction
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent third level qualification in telecoms or an engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a network operations management role.
- A knowledge of Juniper equipment is desirable but not essential.

Pay: £80,000.00-£85,000.00 per year
