As a Global Data Lineage Specialist, you are responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving data lineage capabilities across DLL. You will ensure end-to-end visibility of data flows - from source systems through transformations to consumption - enabling impact analysis, regulatory compliance, and confident data use.
The initial focus of this role is on establishing and operationalizing enterprise data lineage, closely connected to metadata management and the enterprise data catalog. You will work hands-on with data lineage tooling and collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to embed lineage into daily ways of working across domains and regions.

Day to day:
Your responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain technical and business data lineage across the data landscape.
- Configure, manage, and optimize data lineage tooling, including automated lineage harvesting and integration with data platforms, ETL processes, and analytics environments.
- Ensure lineage information is accurate, complete, and up to date, working closely with data engineers, architects, and platform teams.
- Translate complex data flows into clear lineage visualizations that support impact analysis, data transparency, and decision-making.
- Define and embed global standards and ways of working for data lineage within the broader data management framework.
- Collaborate with data owners and data stewards to align lineage with governance, ownership, and metadata practices.
- Identify gaps and improvement opportunities in lineage coverage and translate them into pragmatic, scalable solutions.
- Support adoption by providing documentation, guidance, and knowledge sharing on data lineage practices.

Requirements

- Able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proactive and pragmatic, even in unexplored terrain
- A collaborator who enjoys working across business and IT, * More than 5 years of experience in data-related roles within complex, international environments.
- Proven experience with automating data lineage and metadata management concepts and practices.
- Strong understanding of:
- Data flows and transformations
- ETL / ELT processes
- Relational data and SQL
- Experience working in environments where data transparency, quality, and trust are critical.
You may have
- Experience with data governance disciplines such as data ownership, glossary, reference data, or data quality.
- Familiarity with modern data platforms or analytics environments (on-prem or cloud).
- Experience working in regulated or audit-sensitive environments.
- Relevant certifications in data management or metadata / lineage tooling.
