Job description

We are looking to add a Data Analyst (12-13 Month Maternity Cover) to our growing, talented team of innovators to shape the future of kids' entertainment. This role is in our Data Team which is focused on creating analytics and insight products and services that understand our audiences, our content and relationships with brands. We are experimentative, we make big and small changes, and we are motivated by the fact that everything we do has the potential to be impactful. We know we won't always get things right first time and enjoy learning and exploring new ideas.

Aa a self-organised team we deliver solutions to real-world problems - we are agile, we are flexible, we spend time learning and on self -development and above all we have fun. We mostly use SQL, GCP and AWS clouds and are exploring using Azure, with visualisations and reports within PowerBI., * Designing and developing data agents, analytical assets, interpretations, insights, and segmentations to drive decisions, reports and dashboards.

  • Creating workflows for transformations, aggregations, filters and correlations to enable large/complex data sets to be accessed for "self-service" use across the business.
  • Working with AI to interpret data sets and enabling the creation of business reports (including dashboards) with samples, templates, generic and specific examples.
  • Providing process automation and re-engineering to support our business needs.
  • Evaluating (through analysis) the quality of data, resolves gaps and discrepancies in data sets.
  • Working to deliver the backlog, roadmap and overall strategy measured by outcome value and agreed priorities; and, keeping up to date and learning new technologies.

Requirements

Do you have experience in SQL?, * Practical experience of translating requirements and providing feasibility into quality data sets aligned to strategy and outcomes.

  • Experience of working in an agile environment and understands OKRs, MVPs and KPIs.
  • Experience using Power BI is essential.
  • A good understanding of using SQL along Power BI for data visualisation.
  • A good understanding of using a range of approaches to convert, adapt and make data sets available.
  • A good understanding of transforming technology solutions for an ever-changing world.
  • Experience of working with Software Engineers to develop new data sets and transformation approaches.
  • Experience of working in a cloud first environment desirable.
  • Proficient in delivering insight and trend analysis.
