Network Consulting Engineer - 6 months - Remote - Outside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Consulting Engineer to deliver high-impact technical solutions across complex and diverse environments. This is a hands-on contract role that blends deep technical expertise with strategic thinking. You will lead deployments, shape low-level designs, and act as a trusted technical authority for clients and internal teams.

The role will involve ownership of technical issues, troubleshooting and resolving network and security challenges, and providing expert consultancy. In addition, you'll mentor colleagues, influence project outcomes, and play a key part in collaborative technical delivery., * Lead end-to-end project delivery, from design through to implementation

• Take full ownership of technical issues, ensuring thorough diagnosis and resolution
• Deliver project engineering services including low-level design, implementation, and consultancy
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical incidents
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and security-related issues with precision and efficiency
• Mentor and support the development of other engineers

• Minimum CCNP-level Cisco certification
• Proven experience deploying at least 5 of the following in a production environment:
• Cisco Routers (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)
• Cisco Switches (VTP, STP, VSS)
• Cisco Datacentre Switching (Nexus, VPC, VDC)
• Cisco Wireless
• Cisco Firewalls (ASA or Firepower)
• Cisco Voice/IPT
• Cisco SD-WAN
• Cisco ISE
• Cisco Meraki
• Palo Alto Firewalls
