Job description
We're looking for a highly analytical person with data science experience to join us in the Asset Reliability team in our Operations department.
The water industry is under great pressure to reduce the impact of our activities on the environment, with tough targets set by Ofwat and the Environment Agency.
We have a large number of monitoring loggers providing real-time information back to our systems.
What you'll do
You will help develop and optimise data science techniques that use data from monitoring equipment to enhance the performance and reliability of our sewerage assets.
You will use Power BI, Python, Excel or Qlikview for this analysis, while also using machine-based learning and setting upper and lower thresholds.
This will help staff/managers understand the real risk to the sewerage network and alert us to any potential discharge, allowing us to respond quickly and avoid or minimise a potential pollution.
