Job description
As a Network Consultant you will give advice and provide guidance in the field of communications infrastructure during all phases of a project (e.g. strategy, architecture design, realization and operational implementation). Your work will cover all aspects of technical communication that our clients are facing: from choosing a unified communications solution to the procurement of a new global network. In a world where people and applications are becoming increasingly mobile (e.g. working from home, and "cloud providers" such as Google) the underlying communication layer becomes increasingly important. It is your role to take care of these challenges either separately or as part of larger projects.
In terms of technology, you will be expected, to gain knowledge of and experience in data networks (WAN, LAN, wireless) and telephony, e.g. in the form of call centers, IP telephony and softphones. You can also focus on the performance aspects of applications across a global infrastructure. Since almost every IT solution ultimately includes a communications component, you will be developing your in depth knowledge as well as gaining a broad understanding of IT as a whole. Our projects often begin with a vision for the future, or an assessment of the current situation and organizational needs. We then assist with determining architecture, selecting solutions and guiding implementations, in some cases cooperating with technology providers such as Cisco.
Requirements
