Technical Architect

We are looking for a Technical Architect to provide hands-on architectural leadership across live services, change requests (CRs) and feature delivery.

This role works closely with engineering, DevOps and release management to ensure changes are well-designed, secure and aligned to agreed standards, while remaining pragmatic within a live-service environment., * Produce and review high-level and low-level technical designs for features and CRs.

• Ensure solutions align with agreed architecture principles and target state.
• Collaborate with engineers and DevOps to ensure designs are implementable and supportable.
• Assess impact of changes across integrations, environments and dependent services.
• Contribute to architecture forums and design assurance processes.
• Identify and manage technical debt and architectural risk within supported services.
• Support root cause analysis of complex production issues where architectural insight is required.

• Strong background in solution or technical architecture within cloud-based environments (Azure preferred).
• Experience working in live-service environments balancing stability and enhancement.
• Understanding of integration patterns, APIs, security and scalability considerations.
• Experience collaborating closely with engineering and DevOps teams.

Desirable

• Experience within UK public sector or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture governance frameworks.
