Job description
Are you an IT Technician who enjoys keeping systems running smoothly and supporting staff and students to get the most from technology?, We're supporting a community secondary school in Fareham that is looking to appoint a dedicated IT Technician to join their hardworking team.
This is an exciting time to join the school, with plans to move into a brand new, state-of-the-art building in September 2027, offering modern facilities and upgraded infrastructure.
The role
Working alongside the Network Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of the school's IT infrastructure, including:
- Maintaining IT hardware and software
- Supporting servers and associated hardware
- Managing user accounts, access control and network security
- Ensuring software licence compliance
- Managing Gmail and MS365 systems
- Protecting against virus threats and supporting GDPR compliance
- Providing technical support and training to staff
Requirements
You should have knowledge of:
- Windows 10 & 11
- Microsoft Servers (2008-2019)
- Hyper-V
- Group Policy management
- Backup systems
- Imaging and deployment of client devices
Previous experience in a school or education setting would be beneficial, but not essential.
