TVS are working as part of Team Leidos, which is a team of defence and logistics specialists supporting a major contract providing an end-to-end supply chain service delivering commodity and inventory savings to the UK Ministry of Defence.
Commodity Support Services (CSS) is composed of TVS SCS and Leidos Supply Ltd (LSL) and, work in partnership with Leidos Europe (LEL) and Kuehne + Nagel International AG (KN). CSS is composed of 4 main Pillars focusing on, Commodity Management, Inventory & Equipment Management, Supply Chain & Category Management as well as Acquisition and Contract Management.
This post is a role within a team that supports capability across the above Pillars as well as outside the CSS organisation. CSS is today looking for a strong Project Delivery capability to ensure that change project proposals, mainly but not exclusively focused on IT enabled projects, are efficiently and effectively developed and delivered to Defence.
Please note we work on a hybrid model of three days working from home and two days in our offices in Emersons Green, Bristol each week. Therefore, you must be located within reasonable commuting distance to Bristol. Travel to TVS Headquarters in Chorley will be required to build and maintain effective relationships and foster a one team approach.
Purpose:
The main focus of this role will be on IT related changes, delivering with key SMEs IT projects enabling improved business capabilities and introducing new capabilities. This role is centric and multi-faceted and, will play a critical part into the management and tracking of various projects/new capabilities delivery across CSS. Acting as a central point for TVS within the LCST programme for all IT change projects, owning the overall programme, and acting as the facilitator between the various stakeholders.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
· Accountable for the successful delivery assigned CSS commodity projects for TVS, integrating in with Leidos P3M community at Prime level and TVSs Programme Management Organisation PMO).
· Track and forward plan project resources to lessen impact of potential 'blockers' (across multiple stakeholders)
· Capture, track, mitigate and report project risks, assumptions, dependencies, and issues.
· Drive, capture and manage change project costs and efforts across resources and project teams.
· Work in collaboration with the TVS programme Director and/or TVS Heads of Projects to align practices where possible and ensure a clear communication line of project delivery status & follow-up.
· Capture potential impacts of change projects on CSS/TVS Business processes and, work with the CSS Quality team and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to document, align and update them accordingly and ensure compliance.
· Attend P3M review meetings to update on CSS project delivery progress end-to-end and provide active feedback and planning based on any change in Customer priorities.
· Attend and support LEL Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS) to share Level 2 plans are developing & resource demand profiles in CSS/TVS.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Project management?, · Practical Project Management skills and experience, ideally in the IT Implementation field, or alternatively business change. Prince2 Practitioner and/or equivalent i.e. APM (PMQ/PPQ) qualifications would be preferred but not essential.
· Defence knowledge and experiences is desirable.
· Professional and ethical in approach.
· Ability to persuade and influence with wide-ranging internal and external stakeholders.
· A good communicator and facilitator who builds trust and, can confidently manage conflict and seek resolution or ways forward as a team.
· Willingness and aptitude to learn, specifically to develop knowledge over time of the functionality of Team Leidos systems and their integration in order to drive projects effectively.
· MS Office.
· Able to travel regularly between sites.
