Information Technology Support Specialist

• Work as part of the service desk team; supporting the 1st line help desk, helping users with desktop support, hardware issues and our SaaS & PaaS applications.
• Manage and support the organisations mobile devices.
• Repair and replace damaged computers, network, IoT and associated devices.
• Manage the Software Asset Register (SAR) and Hardware Asset Register (HAR).
• Manage the hardware management lifecycle for all devices and peripherals across the company from installation, configuring to decommissioning.
• Manage onboarding/offboarding of users onto internal systems, taking into account access rights, roles and permissions.
• Enforce consistent standards for management of our portfolio of cloud-based and on-premises apps.
• Enforce information security, governance and certification standards across the IT estate.
• Periodically run internal software, hardware and end-user audits.
• Support the documentation of the internal IT estate and processes.
• Support in rationalising and consolidating the current portfolio of applications towards a single, standardised set of tools for the organisation.
• Proactively monitor the IT estate for vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement.
• Explore new and trending technologies, facilitate early idea/concept evaluation, that could deliver tangible benefits to the business.

Do you have experience in iOS?, * A recognised qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• Microsoft O365 certifications desirable
• Project Management qualification desirable

Required Experience:

• Exceptional knowledge and experience with Windows Server 2022, SQL Server, Windows 11 desktops, SharePoint, Office 365, Azure, iOS, and Android are expected.

• Good understanding of network infrastructures, switches, routers, servers, WAN and LAN connectivity, wired, and Wi-Fi connectivity, printers, and CCTV systems.
• Understanding of virtualisation, SaaS, and Cloud technologies.
• Device management with MDM, Intune, Samsung Knox, and CoPilot.
• Participation in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, effective communication, and people skills.

Desirable Experience:

• Process automation and Hyper-automation.
• Software development, Python and No Code / Low Code solutions.
• Understanding of the basic concepts of Information Systems Security.
• Tech Geek keeps up to date with emerging technologies and technology trends.
