Data Science Specialist

• Manage and process big data using frameworks such as Hadoop and Spark, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Develop and maintain databases with robust design principles, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Utilise cloud platforms like AWS for deploying models and managing data workflows.
• Write efficient scripts in Bash (Unix shell) for automation of data processing tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Conduct data mining activities to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform strategic initiatives.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI, machine learning, and big data technologies to continuously improve analytical capabilities.

Do you have experience in VBA?, * Proven experience in data science or related roles with a strong portfolio of projects.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, C, and VBA.
• Extensive knowledge of big data tools including Hadoop, Spark, and SQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and SAS.
• Strong understanding of database design principles and data mining techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS for deployment and management of models.
• Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) techniques is desirable.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
