Job description

As an IT Product Owner, you are an innovator, a problem solver, a questioner, a listener, and someone who understands that both stability and progress is key. You work closely with your stakeholders and vendors to deliver and drive best-in-class customer experiences. You know what others are doing outside our business and you bring ideas to the table of stakeholders as well as your team and you mentor your team to deliver these solutions through 3rd parties.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing a team of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Analysts and QAs
  • Vendor management and contract negotiation
  • Identification of vendors and delivery partners
  • Working closely with stakeholders to decide and prioritise projects and activities including innovation
  • Roadmap of product(s) including upgrades and patching
  • Budget planning and tracking
  • Delivery of projects
  • Ensuring all designs conform to the Musgrave Enterprise Architecture and are within the Solutions Architecture requirements
  • Ensuring handover to site rollout (where relevant) and operations
  • Mentoring of team members
  • Managing the supply and demand (in collaboration with the Demand Manager depending on the area
  • Responsibility for the management of cost and timelines for delivery

We want you to take an active role in all the above working closely with Musgrave Colleagues and 3rd party Delivery and operations teams. We are looking for someone who is keen to constantly adjust and improve how we do things.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Software development?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * IT orientated degree

  • Innovation and roadmap experience
  • Experience with a main stream CRM, preferably Dynamics for Sales
  • Previous budget responsibility and participation in the budget planning process
  • Min 5 years' experience in BA and/or product ownership
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in requirements gathering, analysis, specification, verification, and the ability to apply them in practice
  • Strong experience partnering with third party vendors and working hybrid teams
  • Team and collaboration orientation
  • A strong understanding of software development lifecycle, quality assurance and information security
  • A history of successfully delivering products into the market
  • Highly organised, structured and performance driven
  • Enjoy really understanding a product and how that product might change over time
  • Innovative in your thinking with a willingness to learn and embrace new and existing technology
  • Personable, proactive, excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact and influence effectively at all levels across the business to get initiatives delivered
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships that deliver results and effectively collaborative with diverse teams
  • Enjoying developing talent and mentoring your team
  • Able to work effectively in a matrix environment
