Job description

Acting as a system officer, you will assist on a number of key digital activities the council is currently committed to. These could include, developing the council's online forms, carrying out user experience testing, automating front and back-office processes, developing our Customer Relationship Management (Verint) solution or assisting with upcoming projects around online chat and natural language., * To ensure that digital applications are developed and maintained to support performance information that will assist management to monitor, deliver and improve services to service users to achieve best value.

  • To develop networks, communicate and work effectively with service staff to establish data requirements, resolve problems, achieve mutually beneficial goals and improve service.
  • To continuously monitor and review data to ensure effectiveness of systems and processes in order to improve performance and ensure best value for customers.
  • To assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process for upgrades, fixes and new modules.
  • To diagnose and interpret information from the service and external agencies in order to identify and deliver data cleansing and application configuration requirements., We are investing in our workforce and are promoting opportunities to our under-represented groups. If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.

Requirements

  • A good level of technical competence and experience of applications and databases.
  • Awareness of and ability to learn applications & systems.
  • Understanding of information requirements associated with the storage and transfer of data.
  • Delivery of training on a one to one basis or small groups.
  • Capability to extract data to provide management information.
  • Ability to translate complex information into an easily understood format
  • The ability to apply knowledge to solve problems in a logical way
