About this role

Join the Partner Growth & New Verticals Data Science team, where you will build production-grade solutions that directly shape how thousands of restaurant partners thrive on our platform. Working closely with commercial and product stakeholders, you'll own meaningful outcomes - from defining what partner success looks like to delivering models that scale across our global markets. We're a team that moves together, building data science capabilities that become one of our most valuable business assets.

These are some of the key components to the position:

• Raise the bar by building and deploying scalable, production-grade models that solve real-world business challenges.
• Translate complex problems into structured ML project lifecycles, with strong grounding in forecasting, causal modeling, statistical inference and online/offline evaluation.
• Move fast to explore and apply Generative AI techniques, unlocking new ways to serve our restaurant partners.
• Drive excellence by identifying data-driven opportunities and turning ambiguous insights into clear, actionable business strategies.
• Collaborate closely with Data and ML Engineers to build maintainable pipelines that grow alongside our evolving business needs.
• Keep it simple by creating clarity and efficiency in our technical design and deployment decisions.

What will you bring to the team?

• Proven ability to build and deploy models in production environments, moving beyond notebooks, to solve business problems.
• Fluent in Python, with the ability to write clean, testable code that integrates seamlessly with our state-of-the-art ML Platform.
• SQL-native - confident navigating complex data warehouses to wrangle data, engineer features, and get to answers independently.
• Proficiency in deploying and monitoring ML models using Docker and CI/CD tools.
• Hands-on experience applying Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI tools, including agentic workflows, embedding-based similarity search and fine-tuning.
• Ability to step into the shoes of our partners to ensure your data solutions meet their true needs.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical findings into clear, compelling narratives that drive stakeholder alignment and informed decision-making.
• A determined mindset when facing uncertainty, asking the right questions to create clarity before coding begins
