Job description

Do you have experience of data assurance? If so, you could be the next Data Assurance Officer at The Guinness Partnership . This is a full time, 35 hours per week, permanent role based at our Oldham, Bower House office. We are currently working to a hybrid style.

The overall purpose of the role is to ensure efficient and effective processes and controls are in place for the creation, maintenance and assurance of data.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who can work independently to produce high-quality performance information on time, analyse data confidently, and clearly document data improvement activity. You will have experience completing reconciliations, using exception reports to strengthen data quality, and resolving complex data issues with an understanding of their wider implications. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, along with strong communication skills to drive change, secure stakeholder engagement, build effective working relationships, and manage and prioritise your workload confidently.

You'll be able to demonstrate

Essential:

  • Experience of delivering performance information to business users to a high quality and in a timely manner.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to use software to interrogate and analyse data.
  • Experience of completing and documenting data improvement processes and analysis.
  • Experience of completing reconciliations and using exception reports and other analysis to improve data quality.
  • Ability to understand complex data problems and identify solutions and impacts of change.
  • High levels of accuracy in work and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build good working relations and influence others.
  • Ability to prioritise between conflicting demands and priorities, and to manage your time autonomously.
  • Able to demonstrate the Guinness Behaviours.

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of IT systems used in social housing.
  • Awareness of statutory and regulatory requirements relating to Asset Management, Customer Services and Health & Safety., Essential:
  • Educated to Level 2 (C+ or 9-4 GCSE or equivalent) or higher.
  • Educated to Level 3 Microsoft Data Essentials or equivalent.

Desirable:

  • Educated to Level 3 (A level or equivalent) or higher.
