Job description

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join the Data Management Unit within Registry Services, to assist in enabling the University to fulfil its statutory reporting requirements. The role will work closely with other members of the Data Management Unit, Student Records, as well as other departments across the University in order for this to be achieved.

Responsibilities include, having joint responsibility with fellow Data Analysts for ensuring that all statutory returns are accurate and submitted in a timely manner and also dealing with ad-hoc data requests. The role will involve checking, analysing and interpreting student data in order to enhance data quality and ensure that all reporting requirements are adhered to.

The University uses SITS: Vision as it's corporate student database. Functionality within the database is used to assist in the compiling of the datasets for external returns and to extract data for other external as well as internal reporting.

Requirements

The role will suit an individual who has strong IT skills, experience of manipulating data on a large database and excellent attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential information in accordance with GDPR and Data protection regulations is key.
