Job description

We are a relatively new, but progressive beef farming operation, operating across the UK to supply high quality, low environmental footprint, high welfare beef to a premium UK supermarket. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised data manager and analyst to join our team, and support the owner of the business with wider responsibilities, and potentially oversight of on-farm trial work. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and analysing data to support business decision-making processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong administrative skills and experience in data entry, ideally with experience using Power BI.

Based on our family farm, which is an intrinsic part of the overall business, the successful candidate will be based in a rural environment, and potentially keen to be involved in some of the farming activities, when required! As a small business, the role can evolve in the candidates preferred direction, from visiting partner farms, to running on-farm trial work, depending on preference, with a core focus around data input and analysis to inform business decisions. The office can be quiet some weeks (owner travels extensively across the UK), and busy at other times- so some lone office working will be inevitable, albeit situated on a busy farm.

Duties

  • Collect, verify, and input data accurately using Farm software, with direct liaision with farming parners
  • Analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decisions
  • Manage farm office administration for home farm
  • Prepare detailed reports and visualisations to communicate findings effectively to team members and other stakeholders
  • Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling, correspondence, and document management
  • Ensure data integrity by performing regular audits and updates
  • Utilise phone etiquette skills when liaising with farmers or internal teams regarding data-related queries
  • Manage multiple priorities efficiently through excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Requirements

Do you have experience in Power BI?, * Preferably, some farming and livestock experience, or interest.

  • Proven experience in administrative roles with a focus on data entry or clerical work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good understanding of office procedures and administrative practices
  • Effective communication skills, including professional phone etiquette
  • Prior experience in office environments or administrative experience is preferred

Benefits & conditions

This role can be tailored to meet the right individuals needs and requirements, and hours could potentially be flexible around school pick ups, and personal commitments.
