Job description

We are currently seeking a Data Engineer (Platform) to support a high-performing engineering team on a 3-month contract covering parental leave. This role will be part of a platform team responsible for maintaining and improving a data analytics platform built on Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) running on AWS, supporting the Transport / Trips business unit., * Collaborate with platform engineers to support customer, security, and compliance requirements

Diagnose and resolve production platform issues
Perform platform upgrades, maintenance, and operational improvements
Respond effectively to requests and incidents from customers and internal teams
Participate in Agile ceremonies and technical discussions
Support the stability, scalability, and reliability of the data analytics platform

Requirements

Strong experience with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) on AWS or recent Hadoop administration on a similar platform
Experience with AWS administration
Hands-on experience with at least one of the following:
Apache Ranger
Impala
Apache Spark
Apache Airflow
AWS CDK
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Experience using collaboration tools such as Jira and Slack
