Job description

As a Lead Technical Architect, you'll play a key role in shaping digital solutions that serve communities and create lasting positive impact. You will:

  • Design scalable, secure, user-centred technical architectures
  • Guide clients in making the right technology choices
  • Produce high-quality architectural documentation, models, and designs
  • Support development teams in turning architecture into reality
  • Lead workstreams or small/medium engagements
  • Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Mentor colleagues and contribute to a collaborative team culture

Requirements

Are you passionate about designing technology that genuinely improves lives? Want to use your skills to shape digital services that make a difference - while working fully remotely?, * Significant experience architecting complex digital services

  • Knowledge of enterprise systems, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), APIs, integration patterns
  • Familiarity with modelling standards (C4, ArchiMate, UML)
  • Strong communication skills across diverse audiences
  • Experience working in agile and consultancy environments
  • Ability to guide architecture through governance processes
  • A technology-agnostic mindset
  • Understanding of user-centred design principles

Desirable:

  • Experience with public sector standards (Technology Code of Practice, GDS Service Assessments, NHS platforms)
  • Experience working in remote, multidisciplinary teams
