Are you an experienced Systems Manager who loves improving digital services, leading change, and making a real impact? This is an exciting opportunity to join a major public-sector organisation as their Digital Systems Manager, playing a key role in supporting critical operations across Northern Ireland.
You'll join a modern, collaborative IT team, providing expertise across a diverse range of Line-of-Business (LOB) systems - covering areas such as Finance, HR, Fleet, Prevention & Protection, and more. What you'll be doing
As Digital Systems Manager, you will:
- Take ownership of LOB systems, ensuring they're secure, reliable and meeting organisational needs.
- Lead on system development, upgrades, implementation, and change management.
- Oversee service requests and incidents, working with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- Manage and maintain IT system infrastructure, licences, policies, and documentation.
- Provide expert technical guidance across the organisation, including training staff on LOB systems.
- Support business planning by contributing to strategic projects, business cases, tenders, and IT roadmaps.
- Drive continuous improvement, recommending new technologies and ensuring best practice across governance, risk, and information management.
- Provide leadership and direction to IT colleagues, supporting development and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
About you
You'll bring strong technical expertise and the ability to manage complex systems in a fast-moving environment. To be successful, you will have:
Essential

A degree (or equivalent professional qualification) in ICT, Computing or a related field plus 2 years' experience in a Systems Manager role OR
-
An HND in a relevant subject plus 3 years' experience OR
-
5+ years' experience working as a Systems Manager.
You'll also have:
- Experience managing and upgrading IT systems and troubleshooting advanced technical issues.
- Strong planning, organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent communication skills - able to explain technical issues clearly.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
- A strong customer-service focus.
- A full UK driving licence or access to transport.
Desirable
- Experience working in local government or the wider public sector.
