Job description

This role is for a Programme Manager to take ownership of a complex SAP RISE migration life cycle. You will lead the end-to-end delivery of the transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, working closely with product, engineering and finance teams. The role requires strong governance leadership, vendor management and deep experience navigating multi-phase ERP transformation programmes., * Drive delivery of the SAP S/4HANA RISE migration across Prepare, Explore, Realise and Deploy phases

  • Coordinate internal business units, third-party implementation partners and the software vendor
  • Oversee production of programme artefacts including Program Charters, Key Design Decisions and Enterprise Structure documentation
  • Manage RAID items, including risks related to interim architectures and Legacy decoupling
  • Facilitate decision-making processes through SteerCo and Architecture Review Boards
  • Build and manage a multi-year delivery roadmap with clear milestones and metrics
  • Establish lean programme governance, ceremonies and communication cadences
  • Ensure Clean Core principles are adhered to, avoiding unnecessary customisation
  • Lead continuous improvement activity across delivery and coaching teams

Requirements

  • 10+ years of project and programme management experience in digital environments
  • 5+ years delivering large-scale ERP or SAP transformations
  • Hands-on leadership of SAP S/4HANA or major financial system migrations
  • Strong vendor management experience with Big 4 consultancies or similar partners
  • Expertise across programme phases, scope control, change management and multi-team delivery
  • Experience working with Finance domains such as Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report and Treasury
  • Excellent stakeholder influencing skills at Director and SteerCo levels
  • Experience operating within global, matrixed environments
  • Ability to balance operational delivery with strategic programme oversight
  • Additional beneficial experience includes SAP BTP, MDG-F, Change Management or Legacy modernisation initiatives

Benefits & conditions

6-Month Contract £75 per hour (Inside IR35) - 37.5 hours per week Remote - occasional travel to Manchester for workshops and key programme sessions
