Job description

We are currently looking for a Data / Integration Architect (Insurance) in Switzerland.We are seeking a highly skilled Data / Integration Architect to drive innovative data integration projects within the insurance domain. In this role, you will design and implement ETL pipelines, integrate data with existing systems via APIs, and contribute to Proof of Concept initiatives leveraging AI-assisted code generation. You will play a critical role in defining technical requirements, structuring backlogs, and ensuring clarity before implementation. Working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, you will help streamline processes and build scalable, robust data solutions. The position offers the opportunity to combine technical expertise with strategic insight, shaping data architecture that directly impacts business outcomes.   • Designing and building ETL processes, including data ingestion using Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms.
  • Integrating ETL outputs with existing systems, such as the Merlin platform, through APIs.
  • Supporting AI-assisted code generation initiatives and Proof of Concept development.
  • Contributing to analytical discovery work and backlog definition to ensure clear, well-structured tasks.
  • Collaborating with engineering and cross-functional teams to translate technical requirements into actionable implementation plans.
  • Ensuring data architectures are scalable, reliable, and aligned with enterprise-level standards.

Requirements

Requirements:The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical expertise and domain knowledge in insurance:

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect, Integration Architect, or Senior Engineer.
  • Background or experience in the insurance industry.
  • Strong experience designing ETL pipelines and data integration processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric or similar modern data platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with APIs and system integrations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure technical requirements clearly.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
