Are you passionate about ICT asset management and ready to make a difference in public services? Join our team as a Service Asset and Configuration Analyst! We're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a keen eye for detail. If you're excited about supporting hardware lifecycle and disposal processes while ensuring our assets are meticulously tracked, we want to hear from you!, * Manage ICT Assets: Record and report on both hardware and software assets, ensuring data accuracy in our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) following ITILv3 Asset Management processes.
- Support On-boarding Processes: Assist in the on-boarding of new ICT assets and ensure their seamless integration into the CMDB through the Change Management process.
- Conduct Audits: Perform periodic audits of ICT assets, ensuring all are accurately reflected in the CMDB. Your travels will take you to various locations, ensuring our asset data is spot on!
- Collaborate and Share Knowledge: Work alongside our ICT team to share best practices, offering guidance and support when needed. You'll be a crucial resource for your colleagues!
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, and data analysis. You love diving deep into data!
- Driving License: A full UK driving license is essential as you'll need to travel to different sites.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively, producing accurate reports that aid senior management in their decision-making.
- Engagement Ability: Confidence in liaising with all levels of the organisation and external vendors to achieve desired outcomes.
- Knowledge of Software Licenses: Familiarity with software license procurement and renewal processes is a big plus.
- ITIL Knowledge: Experience in ITIL Asset Management or a related qualification is desirable.
- Hardware Lifecycle Knowledge: Understanding hardware lifecycle and disposal processes will be advantageous.
