Job description

We are seeking a proactive and technically capable IT Support & ERP Systems Technician to join our IT team in supporting day-to-day technology needs of a busy manufacturing environment. This role will provide first line IT support across the business while playing a key role in the support, maintenance and optimisation of the company's ERP system.

The successful candidate will work closely with production, warehouse, sales and accounts teams to support and improve ERP-driven business processes., IT Support & Helpdesk.

  • Provide first line IT support for hardware, software and network issues.
  • Log, prioritise and resolve incidents and support requests through the IT helpdesk.
  • Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices and printers.
  • Support Microsoft Windows environments and other business applications.
  • Assist users with Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook, Teams and Excel.

ERP System Support.

  • Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for the company ERP system.
  • Assist users with ERP issues related to manufacturing, warehouse, stock control, purchasing, sales and finance modules.
  • Maintain ERP user accounts, roles and permissions.
  • Work with departments to resolve data issues and system errors.
  • Assist with ERP upgrades, patches, testing and implementation of new modules.
  • Support ERP reporting and help users extract and interpret operational data.
  • Liaise with ERP vendors and external support partners when required.

Systems & Infrastructure.

  • Assist with the maintenance of servers and network infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure reliability of critical systems.
  • Support IT security policies and user access control.
  • Maintain clear documentation for systems, procedures and troubleshooting steps.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, system efficiency and user training.
  • Assist with IT projects and system improvements across the business.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, Essential.

  • Experience in an IT support or service desk role.
  • Experience supporting an ERP system (e.g. SAP, Intact iQ, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage or similar).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows desktop environments and common business applications.
  • Experience with user account management and access permissions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to support non-technical users.

Desirable.

  • Familiarity with ERP modules for manufacturing, stock control, finance and sales.
  • Knowledge of SQL queries or ERP reporting tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP switches, Wi-Fi).

  • Organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proactive and willing to learn new technologies.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team., * Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Relevant certifications (COMPTIA, Microsoft etc) are advantageous.
  • Training on our ERP system will be provided.
