Job description
Due to continued growth, our Client is expanding its project delivery support team and is seeking an experienced Document Controller / Project Administrator to join the Cramlington office. This is a key role at the heart of the project team-perfect for someone organised, detail-driven, and confident working in a fast-paced construction environment. You'll support the smooth flow of information from design through to project handover., + Manage all incoming and outgoing project documentation, including drawings, technical submittals, RFIs, O&M manuals, and specifications
- Maintain structured electronic and paper filing systems in line with company and project requirements
- Ensure document control procedures are followed, including version control and approvals
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients
- Upload, manage, and update documents across platforms such as Viewpoint, Asite, Aconex, or client-specific systems
- Support audits by ensuring documentation is accurate, compliant, and up to date
- Produce regular reports on document status and outstanding actions

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Document Controller or similar role (construction or M&E preferred)
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with a friendly, collaborative approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a live project environment
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes
