Our Data and AI Products team is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Product Owner to drive implementation of a cloud-based AI offerings supporting the analysis and action of complex problems in buildings and HVAC, * Understand the product backlog by breaking down complex AI business features into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Coordinate refinement with architects, data scientists, and engineering teams
- Conduct, along with experts, hands-on evaluation of existing technologies (both internal and external) to advise development teams on their choice options
- Understand and influence the data pipeline based on business requirements
Cross - Functional Collaboration
- Act as the interface between data science / ML engineering, software engineering, UX/UI, domain experts (building automation / construction / energy), Product Management
- Be able to adjust communication style depending on the audience (technical and non-technical people)
- Product KPI & Development Performance Tracking
- Define how product performance (KPIs) should be tracked and implemented
- Continuously assess development performance and implement corrective actions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; HVAC or mechanical engineering background is a plus
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager with strong understanding of at least one building-industry domain is a plus: automation / BMS / HVAC and energy systems /Facility management and operations/ Industrial IoT in buildings
- Also considered experienced building automation engineers transitioning into product roles
- Experience with deploying AI at scale in production
- Understanding AI model limitations (bias, drift, data sparsity) and key performance metrics (accuracy, precision, recall, RMSE)
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms with AWS as a clear advantage
- Familiarity with data pipelines, event streams, and production data workflows
- Understanding of building and IoT protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, OPC-UA for integration with AI systems
- Strong interpersonal and adaptive skills, including empathy, curiosity, clear communication, conflict resolution, and the ability to the ability to adapt quickly in uncertain situations and continuously refine solution
- Fluent in English
