Job description

A busy and forward-thinking secondary school in Hackney is seeking an experienced Data Manager to join the team on a full-time, long-term cover basis starting ASAP. This is a key role within the school, supporting senior leadership with accurate data management, reporting and analysis to drive pupil progress and whole-school improvement. The Role:

  • Manage and maintain the school's Management Information System (SIMS).
  • Oversee student data including attendance, assessment, behaviour and attainment records.
  • Produce accurate reports for SLT, governors and external agencies.
  • Support with census returns and statutory data submissions.
  • Ensure data integrity, compliance and confidentiality at all times.
  • Work closely with the Exams Officer and senior leaders to support assessment cycles and results analysis.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a school setting (secondary preferred).

  • Strong working knowledge of SIMS.

  • Experience managing and analysing pupil data.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Desirable:

  • Experience using Arbor (preferred but not essential).

  • Understanding of school performance measures and accountability frameworks.
