Job description
This role suits someone who enjoys working with spatial data, structured project delivery, and being trusted to manage technical outputs independently. You'll have flexibility to work remotely, with three days per week in the Skipton office, and will join a business with a culture built on trust, flexibility, and a supportive working environment.

You will report to a Projects Manager and work closely with analysis teams, delivery managers, and clients. The work spans spatial data processing, mapping, documentation, stakeholder updates, and quality assurance, ensuring outputs meet agreed schedules and KPIs. You will also play an active role in improving how spatial data and GIS workflows are delivered.
A key focus of this role is applying GIS expertise to support project delivery. You will work with mapping tools and spatial datasets, carrying out analysis, validating outputs, and helping to improve processes and systems used across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce, manage, and analyse spatial datasets using GIS and mapping tools.
- Create high-quality maps and visualisations to support client deliverables.
- Manage day-to-day client coordination, triage queries, and ensure timely responses.
- Support imagery and geospatial data workflows, ensuring correct metadata, completeness, and allocation.
- Plan and prioritise work across teams, maintaining clear timelines and trackers.
- Monitor progress against milestones and produce concise status updates covering KPIs, risks, and next steps.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including spatial data records, workflows, and reports.
- Identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, or risks and escalate where necessary.
- Support automation and data processing through tools such as Python and SQL where appropriate.
- Drive continuous improvement in GIS workflows, tools, and data management practices.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Time management?, An ideal candidate brings a calm, organised approach, strong spatial awareness, and clear communication skills. You'll be comfortable working with mapping tools, interpreting geospatial data, and supporting project delivery in a structured environment., * Strong experience with GIS or mapping tools
- Good understanding of spatial data concepts (coordinate systems, projections, shapefiles, raster/vector data).
- Experience working with geospatial datasets and producing maps or spatial outputs.
- Strong organisation and time management across multiple projects.
- Clear written and verbal communication, confident working with internal teams and clients.
- Ability to interpret data outputs and identify inconsistencies with strong attention to detail.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on ownership and continuous improvement.
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Desirable
- Experience with Python or SQL for data processing or automation.
- Familiarity with imagery data, remote sensing, or infrastructure-related datasets.
- Experience supporting projects or working in a delivery-focused environment.
Benefits & conditions
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 depending on experience Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm (Hybrid - 3 days in the office), * Private Medical Insurance
