Job description
We are looking for a Senior Industrial Support Engineer at our Massy site.
You will join the AIT department of our In-Orbit Services Business Unit at a moment when the industrial support function is entirely to be built. In this early phase, the role covers both process design, tooling setup and hands-on field execution - this is the nature of a build-from-scratch position, and an opportunity to lay the foundations of a robust, traceable and scalable organisation. This role could evolve into a Team Lead position in the future.
You will be the guarantor of AIT operational continuity on your scope, ensuring the availability of components, consumables, GSE, tooling, infrastructure and logistics flows required for integration and test activities.
Beyond technical skills, we are looking for someone autonomous, structured and versatile, capable of operating alone across a broad scope while building a lasting organisation.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will be:
Ensure availability and traceability of components, consumables and AIT means: Manage receiving, incoming inspection, storage, kitting and provisioning of components, GSE, tooling and consumables for AIT production. Manage internal flows between stock, cleanroom, test zones and preparation areas. Maintain full traceability in ERP (Odoo): serial numbers, status, location, satellite assignment, configuration link. Run periodic inventories and manage material statuses (available, quarantined, non-conforming, reserved, pending inspection, consumed).
Ensure availability, compliance and operational continuity of AIT infrastructure and means: Operate and maintain the ISO 8 cleanroom, test zones and storage areas in compliance with quality, safety and environmental requirements: environmental monitoring (temperature, humidity, particles, ESD), periodic certifications, Facilities interface. Oversee equipment metrology tracking and calibration. Guarantee the availability, compliance status, maintenance, storage and traceability of GSE, tooling and lifting equipment used by AIT.
Coordinate AIT campaign logistics, internal and off-site: Prepare and secure the physical and documentary availability of components, equipment, GSE and tooling required for AIT campaigns, environmental testing and off-site operations. Coordinate shipments and transport in interface with relevant functions: packaging, transport documentation, packing lists, logistics readiness, customs and export control requirements where applicable.
Define stock policy and structure logistics processes: Define with the Industrialisation & Methods team the stock management policy, consumables, long-lead components and replenishment thresholds. Implement logistics processes adapted to ramp-up and monitor associated KPIs: kit completion rate, inventory discrepancies, means availability, logistics incidents, NCR related to storage, handling or transport.
Structure the Industrial Support AIT Pole: Define processes, tools, standards and KPIs for the pole. Capture field lessons learned and continuously improve the organisation. In due course, recruit, manage and develop the Industrial Support AIT team., Material and quality status logic: available, quarantined, non-conforming, reserved, pending inspection, consumed.

Requirements
Education: Engineering degree (Bac +5) or Bac +3/+4 with significant experience in industrial logistics, supply chain, industrial engineering or equivalent technical field.
Experience: 5+ years in industrial logistics, industrial support, supply chain or means operation in a demanding industrial environment (space, aerospace, defence, medical). Experience managing controlled infrastructure (cleanroom, ESD zones, metrology) is strongly valued.
Tools proficiency:
