Overview We are looking for someone who is seeking a role that is centred around meaningful outcomes and to contribute to our wider purpose of Shaping the Borough, Making a Difference.ResponsibilitiesSupport the day-to-day work of the GIS and SNN team.Assist with the administration, development and maintenance of the council's web-based GIS systems.Offer administrative support to GIS and SNN projects.Support the Street Naming and Numbering (SNN) process.Provide specialist advice to council staff on GIS and SNN services.Help manage and maintain geospatial data within the corporate GIS database.Produce mapping and GIS outputs to support Planning Policy, Neighbourhood Development Plans and the Local Plan.Contribute to consultation and public engagement materials.QualificationsExperience using GIS software or a relevant degree with a strong GIS component.A good understanding of spatial data management, analysis and application.Strong attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.Excellent time-management and prioritisation skills.Confident, adaptable communication skills - both written and verbal.Friendly, approachable and professional.A positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to use your initiative.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suites.Career Development Whether you're a recent graduate or someone with hands-on experience in GIS, geography, IT or a related field, this role offers the chance to develop your skills in a supportive, collaborative and development-focused environment.
