Job description
You will work closely with the IT Manager, regional operational teams, external vendors, and our Head Office IT colleagues in Japan. The role offers exposure to enterprise infrastructure, international stakeholders, and real responsibility from day one.
What You Will Be Doing
You will:
- Provide IT infrastructure and user support for the Madrid office and other Mitsubishi Power Europe Group locations.
- Support Mitsubishi Power Europe users operating within customer power plant environments
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot IT systems and infrastructure, including servers and networking
- Act as second line support for the Operations Team, stepping into first line support where resourcing requires
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across hardware, software, servers, and networks
- Manage backups, patching, system updates, and infrastructure security controls
- Ensure systems remain compliant with corporate IT and security standards
- Document system configurations, maintenance procedures, and technical reports
- Liaise with external IT vendors to resolve technical issues and support procurement activities
- Support the IT Manager with the implementation of new IT processes, procedures, and improvements
- Work collaboratively with Head Office IT teams in Japan to align infrastructure and support activities

Requirements
We are seeking someone with a strong technical foundation and a pragmatic, service oriented mindset. You will ideally bring:
- Graduate level education or equivalent proven experience in an IT related discipline
- Demonstrable experience in networking and server troubleshooting within a professional environment
- Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and business software applications
- A solid understanding of IT security, hardware safety, and data protection protocols
- Confidence working in a multi stakeholder, international business environment
- Fluency in business level English and Spanish, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel across EMEA as required by the business
The following would be advantageous but not essential:
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Experience working within engineering, industrial, or operational environments
