Requirements

We're looking for someone who brings strong coding talent and creative problem-solving flair. You'll thrive here if you enjoy innovation, collaboration, and experimenting with new technologies.

You should have:

  • Solid commercial experience programming with object-oriented languages such as Java, C#, or PHP
  • Front-end expertise with tools like Vue.js, React, Angular, SASS, or LESS
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js
  • Knowledge of web server tech (Nginx, Apache)
  • Strong understanding of scalable database design using MySQL or Hibernate/JPA
  • A proactive, positive approach with a genuine passion for creating exceptional digital products
  • The confidence to take ownership of project delivery and lead by example within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Curiosity and ambition - keen to keep learning frameworks like modern Java, .NET Core, Blazor, Ionic, and more

Benefits & conditions

This isn't a corporate machine. It's a creative, energetic environment where your input will be heard, your ideas valued, and your career genuinely supported. You'll work alongside some of the brightest digital minds in the region and gain exposure to a variety of exciting, high-impact projects.

You'll benefit from:

  • A vibrant, collaborative studio culture on Newcastle Quayside
  • Regular workshops, tech talks, demos, and hack nights
  • Ongoing learning, mentoring and clear career progression routes
  • Social events, Friday drinks, and a team that genuinely enjoys working together
  • Pension with employer contribution
  • Travel loans & bike-to-work scheme
  • Monthly recognition awards
  • Holiday buy-back (up to 5 extra days per year)
  • Profit bonus share scheme
