Job description

We are seeking a motivated and personable Junior IT Support Technician to join a dynamic service desk team. This role offers a blend of technical support, infrastructure management, and client interaction, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to develop both their technical and communication skills.

You'll play a key role in supporting end users, maintaining systems, and contributing to ongoing improvements across IT services and security.

What you will do:

  • Act as the first point of contact for IT support queries and service requests.
  • Log, prioritise, and resolve incidents or escalate where required.
  • Provide first-line troubleshooting across hardware, software, and user access issues.
  • Manage user onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Support internal systems including Microsoft 365, Teams, and other core platforms.
  • Assist with monitoring infrastructure and maintaining system performance.
  • Contribute to IT projects, improvements, and system changes.
  • Support IT security practices, including patching, vulnerability monitoring, and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to knowledge base articles.
  • Provide occasional on-site support when required.

Requirements

Are you an enthusiastic IT professional looking to build your career in a hands-on, client-facing environment?, * 1+ year of experience in an IT support role.

  • Strong understanding of basic IT support principles and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn Microsoft 365 and Endpoint Manager (Intune)
  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively.
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop.
