- Design, prepare, and monitor automated tests.
- Contribute to developing a plan to integrate automated testing into the testing process.
- Evaluate tools and technologies to determine the best automation fit for the project within a DevSecOps approach.
- Define an approach and methodology for building a test automation architecture.
- Design and develop (new or modified) test automation solutions that meet business needs.
- Facilitate the transition from manual to automated testing.
- Create automated test reports and metrics collection.
- Perform tasks independently with minimal guidance or oversight.
- Knowledge of continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate effectively with QA team members, providing guidance and support on best practices.
- In-depth understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) processes.
Requirements
At The Whiteam, we are seeking a Senior Test Automation Specialist to join us in collaborating with EU public institutions. The ideal candidate will be an EU citizen with at least 14 years of total IT experience. This position is offered on a near-site (hybrid) basis in Brussels., * At least 7 years of experience developing and executing automated test scripts for IT applications using test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, TypeScript, Selenium WebDriver, or similar).
- At least 7 years of experience in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automation and version control.
- At least 7 years of experience designing and writing test cases specifically tailored for automation, covering both functional and non-functional testing scenarios.
- At least 7 years of experience automating functional and regression testing for IT applications, with a demonstrated ability to identify and implement best practices for test automation.
- At least 5 years of experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- At least 5 years of experience with SQL scripting for data validation and verification in test scenarios.
- At least 3 years of experience with JIRA for tracking and managing test cycles and automation requirements (using Zephyr or Xray).
- At least 3 years of experience with API testing in automated environments, ensuring reliability and performance.
- At least 3 years of experience using Postman or SoapUI for automated API testing, including developing scripts and validations for integration testing.
Certifications & Standards:
Following certificates & standards are an asset for the performance of tasks. Optional certification:
- ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer or equivalent.
