Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled ProdOps Manager to take ownership of our Product Owner toolset and support the evolution of an entire product function. This role goes far beyond expert tool usage. We need someone who can design, configure and manage the full ecosystem of product tools, ensuring they enable effective, consistent and scalable product delivery., * Own, manage and configure core Product tools, including Jira, Productboard and other platforms used by Product Owners.

  • Lead the setup, integration and optimisation of Product tools to support end-to-end product workflows.
  • Maintain consistent standards, templates and taxonomies across all product streams.
  • Act as the guardian of the product process, ensuring teams follow agreed practices and move towards the new target operating model.
  • Support the wider transformation programme, helping harmonise ways of working and introducing best practice across the organisation.
  • Partner with Product Owners and Product Managers to ensure tools and processes meet their needs.
  • Identify inefficiencies and introduce improvements to product lifecycle management.
  • Provide training, guidance and documentation to uplift product capability across all teams.
  • Work closely with Technology and Delivery teams to ensure tool configurations align with technical governance and delivery plans.
  • Monitor tool performance, usage and adoption, ensuring systems remain robust and fit for purpose.
  • Support portfolio-level reporting and transparency by configuring and maintaining accurate product data.

Requirements

You will play a central role in a large transformation programme to harmonise ways of working across all product streams. As the guardian of our product process, you will help shape and embed a new target operating model. This is a hands-on, influential role suited to someone with strong experience as a Product Owner, deep knowledge of Agile and Scrum, and the ability to turn good processes into great operational practice. To succeed in this role, you must ensure high data quality across product tools to enable reliable portfolio-level reporting and decision making., * Around 5 years' experience as a Product Owner, with real-world accountability for delivering products.

  • Proven experience managing and configuring Product tools such as Jira, Productboard or similar platforms. This is an essential requirement.
  • Product operations ownership - Owning product tools, processes, or ways of working at scale.
  • Supporting multiple product or delivery teams
  • Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile principles, with practical application in cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience standardising processes or improving product operations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to explain complex processes in a simple, accessible way.
  • Comfortable working in an environment undergoing significant change and transformation.
