MPA Recruitment, on behalf of our client, is seeking an ICT Technician Officer to join their IT Team based at Trust Headquarters. This is an exciting opportunity for an IT professional to support the delivery and development of critical IT systems within a fast-paced healthcare environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving IT services that support frontline operations across the Trust. The role will involve travel across multiple sites and participation in an on-call rota., As an ICT Technician Officer, your duties will include:
- Providing end-user support across a wide range of IT systems, diagnosing and resolving complex technical faults.
- Managing and updating the Help Desk system, ensuring timely resolution of support requests.
- Supporting the installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair of IT hardware and software.
- Maintaining accurate records of IT assets, including hardware and software inventory.
- Liaising with third-party suppliers to resolve issues and support service delivery.
- Undertaking site visits to carry out maintenance, repairs, and system assessments.
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of IT systems, including intranet and website support.
- Participating in IT projects and contributing to continuous service improvement.
- Supporting data security processes, including backup procedures.
- Monitoring stock levels and supporting procurement of IT equipment.
- Participating in an on-call rota to support out-of-hours service needs.
Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Degree in an ICT-related discipline with at least 1 year's relevant experience
OR * HND in an ICT-related discipline with at least 2 years' relevant experience OR * Minimum of 4 years' relevant IT support experience And demonstrate:
- Experience supporting network-based IT equipment (PCs, printers, switches, etc.)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft desktop applications and Windows environments
- Experience using Help Desk Management Systems
- Knowledge of intranet/internet systems and technologies
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with access to transport
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rota
