Data Manager

We are seeking an experienced data management professional to review current research data practices and develop clear, compliant frameworks for data governance across the project. The role will lead on defining policies, implementing practical tools and SOPs, and supporting teams to adopt consistent, ethical and effective data management approaches., * Conduct a comprehensive audit of our current research data

• Review funder terms and conditions relating to research data management and map these requirements against current practice
• Work with the internal teams to identify and define common use cases, and create clear data policies for each. The policies would define:
• Approved platforms and tools for data storage and sharing
• Data storage locations
• Access management
• Roles and responsibilities
• Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data management
• Design and implement practical tools to support ongoing data management
• Support the communication and dissemination of agreed policies and procedures

• Extensive academic data management experience
• Demonstrable experience developing and implementing project-wide data management strategy
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy
• Ability to work independently, problem-solve, manage multiple projects, and exercise good judgement in an organised and professional manner
• A commitment to ensuring data protection and ethics compliance
