Cyber Security Engineer Microsoft Purview (Insider Risk)

Location: London (Hybrid) Duration: 2 3 months Rate: £600 650 per day (Outside IR35)

We re supporting a leading financial services organisation on an urgent requirement within their Cyber Security Engineering team.

This role is focused on delivering a series of critical integrations into Microsoft Purview, helping enhance Insider Risk capabilities across a complex, regulated environment.

The Opportunity

You ll join an established Cyber Security Engineering function, working within a Kanban-based agile team to deliver a backlog of high-priority integrations into Microsoft Purview.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys building and integrating solutions directly, rather than operating at a purely strategic level.

You ll play a key role in improving how data is ingested, monitored and acted upon within Purview, working across multiple systems and security platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and implement integrations into Microsoft Purview
  • Deliver enhancements across Insider Risk monitoring, including:
  • Forensic evidence integration
  • Salesforce integrations
  • Workday data ingestion
  • Internal platform integrations (eg Quantum)
  • Configure and optimise Purview capabilities, including:
  • Insider Risk policies
  • Trainable classifiers
  • Purview agent functionality
  • Build workflows and automation using:
  • Azure
  • Microsoft Sentinel
  • Logic Apps
  • Improve alerting, detection logic and automation
  • Work closely with internal teams and partners to deliver integrations aligned to existing architecture

What We re Looking For

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview (DLP, Insider Risk or related areas)
  • Proven experience integrating data sources into security or monitoring platforms
  • Experience working with:
  • Azure
  • Microsoft Sentinel
  • Logic Apps/automation
  • Ability to operate in complex, regulated environments
  • Comfortable working within agile delivery teams
